Crock Pot French Roast Dip

Here is the first recipe of many to come!  I found this on another blog (twig & feather)  and tweaked it a bit… and OH MY GOODNESS is this good!  Made it for my in-laws last weekend and we all found it delicious – and the best part?  It is SO easy!!  I love crockpot recipes because at the end of the day when you are tired and the kids are cranky – dinner is one thing you don’t have to worry about!!  I served this with french bread and a baby spinach salad with ranch dressing. (there is a print button at the bottom of this post under Like It Share It)

Crock Pot French Dip

3 1/2 -4 lbs boneless chuck roast (I used bone in because it was on sale and it was fine)
Sprinkle steak seasoning all over roast (I used McCormick Grill Mates Montreal steak – but any will do)
1/2 cup soy sauce
4 big scoops of beef Better-than-Bouillon
1 bay leaf
1/2 tsp  dried rosemary
1 tsp dried thyme
2 TBSP minced garlic
1 tsp pepper

Place all ingredients in the crockpot then fill with water until almost covering the roast but not entirely.

Cook on low for at least 10 hours – but 12-14 if you have the time!

Serve on top of crusty french bread  topped with pepper jack cheese (my fav) or swiss or mozzerella – ladle some of the Au Jus (the sauce) along the side.

SO SO SO GOOD!!!  I PROMISE!
